Winnipeg Pro Wrestling: Rumble at the Burt 4
Winnipeg Pro Wrestling returned to the historic Burton Cummings Theatre on October 18, 2026, for Rumble In The Burt 4, welcoming 1,261 fans for an action-packed evening of professional wrestling, championship battles, personal rivalries, and a high-stakes battle royal with major implications for the Spring of 2027. With seven matches on the card, the fourth installment of the popular event delivered plenty of excitement, including two championship changes, a shocking stipulation that cost a prominent figure his position, and a main event that left the WPW Championship picture firmly in the spotlight.
Match 1: Bobby Schink vs. Brax (Table Match for the WPW 92.1 CITI Championship): The evening got underway with a bang as Bobby Schink put the WPW 92.1 CITI Championship on the line against Brax in a Tables Match. With the added threat of being sent crashing through a table hanging over every exchange, both competitors had plenty of incentive to bring the fight to their opponent. Schink ultimately emerged victorious, retaining his championship and successfully defending his title in a match that provided an appropriately chaotic opening to the night.

Match 2: “The Sweetest Pea” Kristara vs. “The Mountain” Vanessa Kraven: Next, “The Sweetest Pea” Kristara squared off against “The Mountain” Vanessa Kraven in a clash of contrasting personalities and styles. Kraven's imposing presence presented a significant challenge, but Kristara proved she had what it took to overcome the formidable opponent, securing the victory and adding another memorable result to the night's growing list of highlights.

Match 3: ATM vs James Korba, Kevin Cannon, and Ronnie Attitude (3-on-1 Loser Leaves Town Match):
The stakes escalated considerably in the third match, a Loser Leaves WPW 3-on-1 Match featuring ATM against James Korba, Kevin Cannon and Ronnie Attitude. With the numbers advantage firmly in the opposing team's favour, ATM faced a daunting challenge, but the match carried consequences that extended well beyond the final bell. ATM defeated Korba, Cannon and Attitude, triggering the stipulation that saw James Korba fired from his position as WPW General Manager. The result marked a major turning point for the promotion, leaving questions about the company's leadership and what the fallout might mean for WPW moving forward.

Match 4: Rumble In The Burt Match: The centrepiece of the evening was the Rumble In The Burt Match, featuring twenty competitors battling for an opportunity at the WPW Championship at Fight at the Museum 5 in the spring of 2027. James Roth drew the unenviable task of entering at number one, meaning he would have to survive the entire field to earn his championship opportunity.
The field included Sammy Peppers, Mr. Williams, Tommy Lee Curtis and the Church of the Jacked Jesus, Danny Duggan, Simon Phillips, Marz the Specialist, BP Taylor, Nathan Rose, Josh Price, Robby Royce, Sidney Sweetie, Scott Ripley, Josh “Cheeks” Holliday, Levi Night and Mo Jabari, among the night's collection of competitors. Nathan Rose also made his WPW debut, adding another layer of intrigue to an already unpredictable contest.
With so many personalities sharing the ring, the rumble offered plenty of potential for alliances, rivalries, and sudden eliminations. Every competitor entered with the same goal, but only one could walk away with a future championship opportunity. In the end, Roth completed the remarkable task of defeating nineteen other men, surviving the field after starting from the very first position. His victory was arguably the night's defining accomplishment, earning him a shot at the WPW Championship at Fight at the Museum 5 and setting the stage for a potentially career-defining showdown in 2027.

Match 5: Tyler Colton & Mentallo vs. Sinner & Saint vs. Violence Is Forever (3-Way Tag Team Match for the WPW Tag Championships): The WPW Tag Team Championship was next on the line in a three-way face-off featuring reigning champions Tyler Colton and Mentallo against Violence Is Forever and Sinner & Saint. With three teams competing for the gold, the match presented a particularly challenging environment for the champions, who had to contend with two sets of challengers rather than simply focusing on one opposing team. Colton and Mentallo ultimately prevailed, defeating both challengers to retain the tag team titles and reaffirm their position at the top of WPW's tag team division.

Match 6: “The Matriarch” Sage Mo vs. Jody Threat (WPW Women's Championship):
The women's division then took center stage as “The Matriarch” Sage Mo challenged Jody Threat for the WPW Women's Championship. Threat entered the contest with the championship at stake, but Mo had championship ambitions of her own. When the dust settled, it was Mo who emerged victorious, defeating Threat to become the new WPW Women's Champion. The title change represented one of the evening's biggest moments and established a new champion at the head of the women's division.

Main Event: Devon Monroe vs. Bryce Bentley (WPW Championship):
The final match of the night saw Devon Monroe defend the WPW Championship against “The Star” Bryce Bentley. With the promotion's top prize on the line, the championship encounter provided a fitting conclusion to an evening filled with high-stakes competition. Bentley had the opportunity to take the title away from Monroe, but the reigning champion proved up to the challenge, defeating his challenger to retain the WPW Championship.
Monroe's successful defence ensured that the top championship remained unchanged, even as other parts of the promotion underwent significant shifts. With James Roth now guaranteed a future title opportunity, however, the champion has a major challenger waiting in the wings. Roth's rumble victory means that the road to Fight at the Museum 5 will carry considerable anticipation, particularly with the WPW Championship picture already established by Monroe's latest defence.

Ultimately, Rumble In The Burt 4 delivered a strong night for Winnipeg Pro Wrestling, combining title defences with major changes to the championship landscape and the promotion's management. Bobby Schink, Tyler Colton and Mentallo, and Devon Monroe all walked away with their championships intact, while Sage Mo captured the women's title and James Roth earned the opportunity to challenge for the biggest prize in WPW.
Beyond the championships, ATM's victory and the resulting dismissal of James Korba provided one of the night's most consequential developments. With Korba no longer serving as General Manager, the promotion enters its next chapter with an important question hanging over it: what comes next for WPW's leadership?
In front of 1,261 fans at the Burton Cummings Theatre, Winnipeg Pro Wrestling once again demonstrated the appeal of combining athletic competition with the unpredictable drama that makes professional wrestling such an entertaining spectacle. Rumble In The Burt 4 left its mark through hard-fought victories, a new women's champion, a dramatic rumble winner and a championship scene that now has a clear challenger on the horizon. With Roth set to pursue Monroe's title at Fight at the Museum 5 in the spring of 2027, the consequences of this October night are likely to be felt for months to come.
