On ERLU BLUE, which was released on April 8, 2025, via Hi-Hat Entertainment, ifeye carves out a vivid, self-assured lane in the alt-pop space, blending playful confidence with internet-age vulnerability across four tightly curated tracks. Where some EPs feel like a sampler platter, ERLU BLUE plays more like a statement of intent—short, sharp, and brimming with personality, while leaving listeners with the sense of what is yet to come.
The project opens with “NERDY,” a bold mission statement that flips the word’s once-derogatory connotations into a badge of honour. ifeye leans into quirky charisma, pairing bouncy production with knowing lyricism that celebrates individuality rather than smoothing it out. The track’s bright energy and sticky hooks immediately set the tone, proving that confidence doesn’t have to be loud to be commanding.
“IRL” pulls the EP into more introspective territory, exploring the tension between digital personas and real-world emotions. There’s a subtle emotional weight here, wrapped in sleek, modern pop production that strikes a balance between polish and intimacy. It’s a reminder that beneath the playful exterior, ifeye is deeply attuned to the anxieties and contradictions of living online while trying to stay grounded.
That momentum carries into the third track, “BUBBLE UP,” which is arguably the EP’s most effervescent moment. The track lives up to its name, bubbling with kinetic energy and infectious melodies. It feels tailor-made for late-night drives or headphones-on escapism, showcasing ifeye’s knack for crafting songs that are both carefree and meticulously constructed.
Closing out the group's first EP is the English version of “NERDY,” which doesn’t feel like an afterthought but rather a clever expansion of the EP’s core theme. Translating the track into English opens it up to a wider audience while preserving its charm, reinforcing how universal its message of self-acceptance really is.
At just four tracks long, ERLU BLUE doesn’t overstay its welcome, instead leaving a strong impression through clarity and cohesion. ifeye demonstrates a sharp understanding of their artistic identity—balancing humour, honesty, and pop sensibility with ease. It’s a compact release that feels purposeful, signalling a group of artists who know exactly who they are and aren’t afraid to have fun proving it.
