Interview With El Tita Salsa Urbana

How would you describe your music to any person who may have never heard it before? El Tita: That it is a musical content that relatively speaks of love, spite, heartbreak and joy which you can enjoy at any time.

What’s the significance of your musical nickname?

El Tita: I grew up with the of "The Tita," and I decided that I will take my career on the same. What are your influences? El Tita: My father and my uncle are musicians. What are your musical inspirations? El Tita: Reach very far and manage to conquer the people with my songs.


If given the chance, what musician(s) would you like to collaborate with? Rather this is to either write a song or be featured on a track. El Tita: The artist I would love to make a collaboration with is Von Gilberto Santa Rosa.


Do you have anything planned for this year? Any singles? What may they be about subject wise? El Tita: The songs to be released this year talk about love, heartbreak, and rest.


What’s something you hope people take away from these yet to be released tunes? El Tita: That in each song they see them reflected in what is alive. Which songs on the album were the most fun to write? El Tita: The most fun songs to write were "In Love," "Street Sonero," and "Make Love To You." Do you have any favourite songs on your album? El Tita: My favorite song from my album is "Until The Sun Of Today." What's the whole new album about? El Tita: It’s about everything that one day I experienced or perhaps saw in other people.

Do you have any favourite songs to perform live? Could be your own music or even a

cover. Any reason why? El Tita: My favorite songs to play live are "I Already Find Out" - the Salsa Version and "It Hurts Me To See You," - the remix by Fresto and El Tita Salsa Urbana.


If you could perform a show this very second anywhere in the world, where would it be?


El Tita: Viña Del Mar is one of my greatest goals to achieve!

What do you currently have planned for the remainder of the year? El Tita: Continue working together with local and international artists to achieve what you want.
